Department of Food Technology
The college offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses in Food Technology through affiliation by Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri Garhwal. Department of Food Technology is committed to provide thorough instruction in food science, processing, preservation, and safety. Through practical instruction in cutting-edge labs, including facilities for food analysis, quality control, and product creation, the department gives students useful skills. Additionally, students are exposed to contemporary packaging technology, processing methods, and nutritional assessment. The department prepares graduates to succeed in the food business, research, and innovation while guaranteeing the production of safe, high-quality, and nutritious food products by emphasising industry engagement through internships, workshops, and collaborations in addition to rigorous academic.
The curriculum of our B.Sc. program has recently been revised in accordance with the New Education Policy, 2020. The B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology is a four-year course which is aligned according to NEP curriculum. The M.Sc. Food Technology is a two-year course with a compulsory research project in last semester.
